You’re free to use the templates on your social media, change fonts and colours, and add your logo or any other images you like. 2. Star Wars Day

Star Wars Day is an informal commemorative day observed annually on May 4 to celebrate the Star Wars media franchise created by founder and former chairman and CEO of Lucasfilm, George Lucas. World Cocktail Day is a global celebration of cocktails; it marks the publication date of the first definition of a cocktail on May 13 in 1806. World Turtle Day has been sponsored annually since 2000 by American Tortoise Rescue. Held on 23rd May, the aim is to bring attention and increase knowledge and respect for turtles and tortoises. Its purpose is also to encourage human action to help them survive and thrive.

19. Memorial Day (USA)

Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May. As it always falls on a Monday, this creates a three-day break known as Memorial Day weekend. Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in military service for the United States.

The Memorial Day weekend is seen as the unofficial start of summer, and as such, it is a popular holiday enjoyed with outdoor events and picnics.

20. World No Tobacco Day

WHO and public health champions around the world are marking World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) this year by focusing on the many ways in which tobacco threatens the environment we live in.

The 2022 global campaign aims to raise public awareness about the environmental impact of the entire tobacco cycle, from its cultivation, production and distribution to the toxic waste it generates. The campaign will also aim to expose the tobacco industry’s effort to greenwash its reputation and to make its products more appealing by marketing them as environmentally friendly. WHO
