Canva Quick Tips - Instant Background Colour Change with Change All
An easily missed but very useful feature is this week’s Quick Tip which is the Change All button. This lets you change all the colours in a design in one go. A great time saver if you have several pages in one design screen that you want to change to new colours.
Update May 2024
One of the most useful features of Canva is the Instant Background Change tool, which allows you to easily change the background colour of a set of images or designs with just a few clicks. Canva Create 2024 brought us an exciting new design menu.
- First, open a new or existing design project. Click on the background of your design.
- Click on the background colour button which is in the toolbar directly above your design, just to the left of the ‘animate’ button. This will bring up a colour palette in a menu on the right hand side.
- Click on the colour of your choice. Tip: If you don’t see the colour you want on the palette or you have a specific Hex code, click on the + button at the top left hand corner of the palette. Here you can add a new colour, find the box where you can add your Hex code or use the colour dropper to pick a colour from your illustration or photo.
- When you have found your colour, click on the purple ‘change all‘ button at the bottom of the palette. Tip: If you only want to change the colour of one design, click on that design and simply follow instructions 1-3 and leave out 4.
This feature is available in both the Canva Free and Canva Pro account. There’s a link to our website in the YouTube description and also a link to try Canva Pro for free for 30 days.
I hope you find this useful and that it helps you create your content with the great one-stop design app that Canva has become.
